CQP Researcher Dr Chris Erven Wins PechaKucha Competition

Dr Chris Erven of CQP was announced as the University of Bristol winner of a PechaKucha competition sponsored by Vitae reSEARCH Careers 2014 for his presentation on Quantum Cryptography.

Dr Chris Erven - Post Doctoral Researcher

A PechaKucha competition is a Japanese concept where the presenter is limited to only twenty slides during their presentation. They are also time limited to only 20 seconds of speech per slide. This means that each person has just 6 minutes 40 seconds to get their point across before the next presenter takes to the stage.

Chris chose to do his presentation on his area of research and talked the audience through everything from basic Quantum Mechanics through to factoring and finally the future potential of commercialisation of Quantum Cryptography.

Congratulations Chris!
