SideKick QCL Controller: Low-Noise Laser Control Solution

The design, functionality, and performance of quantum cascade laser controllers have advanced significantly with the release of the SideKickTM Laser Controller. Its drive electronics provide industry-leading CW RIN (low optical noise) when combined with an appropriate DRS Daylight Solutions laser head. The low-noise architecture eliminates the need for cooling fans.

The Side Kick controller is compatible with various laser systems and wavelengths and is based on the tested performance of TLC/FLC controllers. It is compatible with all 31000- and 41000-series product families, including the older Pulsed, CW/pulsed, and Über TunerTM heads, as well as the HedgehogTM, CW-MHFTM, Aries-100TM, and Unicorn-IITM laser heads.

The SideKick controller uses tried-and-true HFQDTM technology to safeguard the laser chip while offering flexible, precise control over laser power, wavelength, temperature, scan speed, and pulse parameters.

With its GUI, SDK, and USB/Ethernet connectivity, the SideKick controller offers the customer sophisticated local and remote control, diagnostics, and a variety of tweaking and triggering options.
