Background

John Watrous recieved his PhD from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1998 under the supervision of Professor Eric Bach. After a one year postdoctoral fellowship at the Laboratoire d'Informatique Théorique et Quantique at the Université de Montréal, he became a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Calgary. He moved to the University of Waterloo in July 2006, joining the School of Computer Science as an Associate Professor.
