The Biochrom Anthos Zenyth 200 Microplate Reader is a monochromator-based system with the ability to read at any wavelength in 1nm increments between 190 - 1000 nm. The instrument has temperature control, and the ability to read 6 - 384 well microplates. In addition to microplate assays, cuvette assays can also be performed using the built-in UV/Vis spectrophotometer.

The instrument has 3 shaking modes for mixing of solutions and the ability to perform readings at timed intervals ideal for kinetic assays.

The monochromator-based system allows wavescanning; multiple measurements at different wavelengths in the same well, important for contamination detection, sample purity, optimal peak absorbance detection and product formation studies, aswell as linear scanning for verification of agglutination and coagulation and area scan for precipitation and insolubility studies.

Software

The Biochrom Anthos Zenyth 200 is supplied with ADAP Basic PC software which is used for instrument control, including filter selection, calibration, plate transporter operation, endpoint, kinetic, and multi-wavelength measurements.
Raw data can be stored or transferred to Microsoft® Excel for further analysis.

Applications

The Biochrom Anthos Zenyth 200 is designed for ELISA's, enzyme immunoassays, protein quantitation (BCA, Lowry, Bradford), cell proliferation and cell survival assays, plus cell based assays where shaking is required to keep cells in suspension, temperature-sensitive enzyme kinetic assays, assays requiring wavescans (spectral scans), linear and area scan, assays measuring the changes in absorbance of NADH at 340nm, DNA/RNA and oligonucleotide concentration and purity studies, and cell counting studies.
