Background

John Debenham is Professor Emeritus at the University of Technology, Sydney and Co-Director of the Center for "Quantum Computation & Intelligent Systems" (QCIS). For the past five years John's research has focussed on multiagent systems and automated negotiation. John Debenham is particularly interested in the design of agents that can exploit the information-rich environment of electronic markets. In collaboration with Carles Sierra (IIIA, Barcelona) John is pioneering the foundations of information-based agency.
